Panel Assembler

East Pittsburgh, PA

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble panel displays by applying adhesive backed labels to a cut metal panel, ensuring quality assembly.
  • Inspect components and completed panels to ensure proper label placement, fit, and overall quality.
  • Implement procedures to ensure that the panel assembly is in excellent condition after the label is applied.
  • Report defective materials or issues to the supervisor.
  • Accurately and effectively plan work in an assembly sequence.
  • Maintains efficient and accurate assembling and packaging speeds.
  • Utilize hand tools proficiently, effectively and safely.
  • Package completed panels in accordance with established procedures to ensure they arrive to customers in excellent condition.
  • Assist in the movement of materials within the warehouse.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, organized workstation.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for shipping, as required.
  • Coordinate workflow to meet scheduled shipment dates. Accurately assemble standard panels from sales orders.
  • Acquires proficiency in part numbers and assemblies.
  • Support company continual improvement initiatives.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements

  • Experience using hand tools, automation equipment, power tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Previous experience in light manufacturing/assembly is preferred.

  • Ability to understand and interpret various order forms, spreadsheets and keywords.

Education:

High school diploma or GED is typically required.
